Our Projects
CPNG has multiple donor-funded development projects currently active in PNG, working in thematic areas such as good governance, DRR, sustainable livelihoods & climate change, WASH, SARV and more through the Catholic Church network, often in partnership with state agencies and other CSOs.
Electoral Education & Awareness Program
In January 2022, CPNG launched on this education and awareness program to be carried out in all provinces nation-wide. Diocesan caritas Coordinators from all 19 provinces were involved in this campaign to ensure free and fair elections.
SARV Prevention
Working in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Wabag, our SARV Program has been providing assistance to the victims of SARV in the form of rescue, rehabilitation and re-integration.
Church Partnership Program (CPP)
CPNG is an implementing partner of the Catholic Church CPP Disaster Risk Reduction component. Through this funding, CPNG carries out some of its advocacy and disaster risk management work throughout the country.
He Oranga Taurikura (HOT / A Thriving Life)
Our HOT program has begun and will cover three provinces through the dioceses of Kundiawa, Wewak and Kerema. The HOT program delivers WASH, livelihood and climate resilient interventions for communities in need.
Lenten Appeal
Our Lenten Appeal is a fund set up for providing relief to those affected by natural disasters and is supported by the generous contributions of the church community during the Lenten Season which is observed globally as the time of prayer, faith and alms giving.
